I was studiously avoiding the footy on Wednesday night, Patch and I were in front of the heater watching Ugly Betty when I got to wondering where the Rock Star was....
He has been a little sulky lately, prefering to be outside on his own than inside with us. Very odd behaviour from a greyhound! Anyway, I went to see what he was up to and what did I find?
Hmmm, for a dog that isn't allowed on the couch he looks pretty comfy!
I'm quite impressed actually. Patch and Rocky have worked a miracle on Pete. When we first started fostering he suffered it. When it was one dog that was ok with him. Then it became 2, and then 3 and I think the night we had 4 he finally cracked it.
He is now totally wrapped around these guys paws. They get endless attention and baby talk, I quite often find photos on the camera of them "looking cute" when I am saving the SD card. They are very much our dogs now, not just mine. Rocky idolises Pete, sometimes to my chargin. He gets the biggest helicopters and bum wagging excitement when he gets home. I sometimes get that, more usually they bolt past me into the lounge and fight over toys/beds etc and may come over for a pat when they have got what they want.
The part that amuses me the most is how he brags about how good they are to everyone we talk to. I no longer have to help educate people about how wonderful greyhounds are - he does it for me!
I love my dogs and my boy and am so glad he he now appreciates them as much as I do.
