Yes, that is a very kiwi expression....
Ok, so Queensland doesn't get "cold" per se, but the temperature does drop enough for our precious greys to need winter PJ's.
I am a great fan of polar fleece. Love the stuff. It's light and warm and cuddly and dries really quickly when it gets washed. Perfect dog bedding. I have somewhat of an obsession with linen as it is, I have 10 sets of sheets, all at least 100% cotton 375 thread count, and around 23 quilt covers. I have actually sacrificed a few of these to the dogs! I change the quilt on our bed every week, but even doing that I have many that hardly see the light of day, so my puppies get fine Egyptian cotton luxury too. I have a massive collection of polar fleece blankies and have added to it recently thanks to Crazy Clarks having really cute one's on sale. You can never have too much polar fleece.
Obviously these guys do it tough. Narla is a big bean bag fan, Patch had not ever set paw near a bean bag until she came along. Of course things are far more interesting when another dog wants/has them. So she has now discovered the joys of bean bags, and I can't get her out of it!
I did laugh at her first attempt to negotiate it though. She walked round and round with a very confused look on her face as the beans shifted. She spent a good 3 mins trying to get comfy then just gave up and flopped. Having the dogs in bean bags is an excellent advance warning system for The Chicken. He hears the beans move and runs to his vantage point, poised with claws at the ready. He really is turning out to be a Nazi.
Patch is back to being her usual happy, tarty self. Yay for Patch Rat.
