Have discovered that Patch is not good as a solitary dog. When she came to us it was straight from the kennels, lots of other dogs there. Then we had either one or two fosters, until monday. Cooch went out in the car and didn't come back. That was confusing but ok in the end because Patch went to visit with Louise and the staffys. She was happy. I brought her home last night, she was pleased to see me but very quiet at home. No running round this morning as she usually does. She is sulking. She resorted to trying to get Zila to play with her.
That was fun until Zila put her paw out and Patch jumped back about 6 feet. Chicken boot camp paid off if she will run from a tiny ball of fluff!
Poor Patch, she really does like having other greys around. Hopefully we will have a new foster this weekend and she will be back to her mad self. Looks like she is suffering the way Tamale does when she is an only dog. Luckily I have discovered a fabulous dog park where all the dogs are the same size or bigger than her and she has a great time chasing and playing. Am stoked to have found this park as it will be easier to take fosters to than the one we used to. No fluffies is a big bonus when you aren't sure how a dog will go with others.
We are also looking forward to the Greytwalk on Sunday. A chance to catch up with all the greys and their people and have a bit of a splash and a bbq. Things are looking up....
